Things to do & see in and around Inverness
Inverness is Scotlands newest city and has an exciting atmosphere surronding it, set in the Scottish Highlands. However alot of the old town charatristics still remain. With a population of around 90,000, and a very popular local football team Calley Thistle, Nature walks and everything in between there realy is something for everyone.

Eastgate Center Recently doubled in size and now houses a flagship Debenhams, quiz and many other market leaders. This is our main shopping mall and attracts several thousand visitors a week. And is just a 5 minute walk from Glasdair House. |

Inverness Castle The castle itself is a gorgues building built many many years ago to protect Inverness during troubled times, it now doubles as the inverness high court and is a favourite with all our touristsr. |

Eden Court A fantastic building and home to the arts in the Highlands. Eden Court shows plays, movies and acts of all kinds and is just a 3 minute walk from the Glasdair House. |

The Islands A popular haunt with both locals and tourists, its winding walks streams, lakes and the adventure playground make the islands a hit in all seasons, and with the good weather out come the boats in the boating pond. A must see as it is only 2 minutes from us theres no excuses.. |
Activities
Fishing - Some of the best fishing can be found on the legendary Spey and the river ness that flows through town a popular destination for fly fisherman..
Walking - For the walker the Highlands offers space to breathe clean air and the chance to walk green rolling hills, river valleys, forests, fascinating historic sites and interesting towns and villages. The region is seamed with tracks so that you can walk for an hour, a day or a week.
Golf - Golfers in the area can enjoy some of Scotland's most breath-taking courses. There are over 10 golf courses near Inverness and an easy drive can take you to many many more.
Cycling - Quiet country lanes carrying little traffic, dead end roads leading up river valleys, forestry routes and challenging hill country offer a wide variety of options. Slow and leisurely or tough and demanding as you wish.
Shopping - Woollen Mill shops and a broad selection of craft outlets abound across the Highlands. The sophisticated city centre shops offer alot of choice as does our teo retail parks.
